FACTS:  A college student came home to Winston-Salem during one of his school breaks.  He was a passenger in a car on his way back to school when the car he was in was struck by a tractor trailer that was changing lanes on I-85 in South Carolina.  The driver of the tractor trailer initially blamed the collision on the driver of the car.  An accident reconstruction was performed and illustrated the collision was caused by the tractor trailer.

RESULTS:  Attorney Robert E. Probst of Vrsecky, Probst and Associates LLP settled the claim for 1.1 million dollars.

FACTS:  A female client was stopped in traffic waiting to make a left turn when she was struck in the rear by the Defendant driver.  The client was diagnosed with a strained shoulder and lower back pain.  Unfortunately, no matter what the client did her lower back and shoulder continued to hurt.  She endured physical therapy and sacroiliac joint injections. 

The insurance company for the Defendant driver doubted the claims of the client and offered nothing to settle the case.  Vrsecky, Probst and Associates LLP filed a law suit on behalf of the client.  Through out the litigation process the defense continued to contest the client’s claims and did not make any offers to settle the case.

RESULT:  At the court ordered mediation attorney Robert E. Probst of Vrsecky, Probst and Associates LLP negotiated a settlement in the amount of $124,500.00.

FACTS:  An employee was on the job working when a door was opened and struck him in the head.  The employee initially suffered from a headache.  When the headache continued longer than the employee thought it should,  he sought medical treatment.  Soon the employee began feeling pain in other parts of his body and had trouble concentrating at work.  The employee was eventually diagnosed with Reflex Dystrophy Syndrome (RSD).  He continued to receive weekly workers compensation benefits while he was out of work.  The Worker Compensation Insurance company continued to doubt the worker’s injuries and constantly challenged the validity of his claim.

 RESULTS:  Attorney Robert E. Probst of  Vrsecky, Probst and Associates LLP obtained a lump sum settlement in the amount of  $375,000.00.
